Overview
HEIAN Wallet is a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet for the Tempo blockchain. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.
Data Storage
All data is stored locally in your browser:
- Wallet Keys: Encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stored locally using chrome.storage.local
- Transaction History: Stored locally in your browser
- Contact Information: Stored locally in your browser
- Settings and Preferences: Stored locally in your browser
Important: No data is sent to external servers or third parties.
Third-Party Services
The extension connects to blockchain services for functionality:
Tempo blockchain RPC endpoints (rpc.moderato.tempo.xyz, rpc.testnet.tempo.xyz)
- Purpose: Balance queries, transaction broadcasting, smart contract interactions
- Data sent: Only blockchain queries (transaction data, addresses, contract calls)
Ethereum mainnet RPC (eth.llamarpc.com)
- Purpose: ENS name resolution only (.eth addresses)
- Data sent: Only ENS lookup queries
No personal information is transmitted to these endpoints. Only blockchain-related queries are sent.
Security
- You control your private keys: HEIAN Wallet is non-custodial
- Passwords never leave your device: All encryption happens locally
- Private keys are encrypted: AES-256-GCM encryption protects your keys
- Auto-lock protection: Wallet locks automatically after inactivity
- No remote code: All JavaScript is bundled with the extension (no CDN loading)
What We Do NOT Collect
We do NOT use:
- Google Analytics or any analytics services
- Tracking cookies or pixels
- User behavior monitoring
- Error reporting services that send data externally
- Telemetry or usage statistics
Permissions Explanation
storage: Store encrypted wallet data locally in your browser
host_permissions: Connect to Tempo blockchain RPC endpoints and Ethereum mainnet for ENS resolution
content_scripts: Inject Web3 provider (window.ethereum) to enable dApp connectivity. You must explicitly approve each dApp connection.
dApp Connections
When you connect HEIAN Wallet to a dApp (decentralized application):
- You must explicitly approve each connection
- dApps can only see your wallet address (not private keys)
- You must approve each transaction individually
- You can disconnect from dApps at any time
Data Deletion
To delete all your data:
- Remove the wallet from your extension settings, OR
- Uninstall the HEIAN Wallet extension
This will permanently delete all locally stored data including encrypted keys, transaction history, and contacts.
Children's Privacy
HEIAN Wallet is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
International Users
HEIAN Wallet can be used globally. All data storage is local to your device regardless of your location.
